Rocker Panel Guards
C6 Trans Pan Skid Plate

I owe thanks to Andy's Rock Guards. He should have patented the idea.

Materials:

2x3 Rectangular Tubing Before you start you will need 2 pieces of steel tubing 2x3-.25 48" long. You will also need: 6-7/16"x16 x1" bolts w/ flat washers, 7/16"x16 tap, flat and phillips drivers, 3/8" drill bit, torch or 1.5" hole saw (which ever you prefer, I used a torch), small jack, ratchet and socket to fit lower fr. fender bolt (which is 1/2" or 13mm, I think either will fit well enough to get it out), and pliers.(anything I forgot to mention will come up later).

Prep and Installation:

For seatbelt bolt clearance you will need to measure 7.25 inches from the rear and make a 1.5" hole surrounding that center point.(In other words the hole will go from the 6.5" pt. to 8" pt.). The hole will need to be offset to the inside (in addition I trimmed down the side a bit to clear the angle iron support).SEE PIC>> Seatbelt Bolt Hole

Front Fender Bolt Take the bolt out of the front fender and any screws nearby (now is the time to remove any dents in the area). Hoist the tubing into place and support it with a bottle jack. If all looks well, time to drill and tap the bolt holes. !NOTE!!--there are two small screws on the driver side, seat belt wiring hold downs. Be sure to loose or remove these before fitting the driver side.

Now drill three 3/8" holes, be careful to get close enough to the inside, otherwise you will be drilling and tapping into the side of the steel--no fun!!. Tap the holes with a 7/16"x16 tap and bolt it down. There is just enough clearance for the door. Bolt everything else up and go to the other side. All said it takes a good 3 to 4 hours.
