Why is there so much religion, so many professions, and yet so little
satisfaction?
Isaiah writes: PAY ATTENTION, EAT RIGHT, SEEK HIM!
In chapter 55 "...every one who is THIRSTY, come to the waters...why
do you spend money (effort, resources) for that which is not bread? And your labors for
that which satisfies not? HEARKEN diligently (give attention, consider, consent be
obedient) unto Me, and EAT ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in
abundance. SEEK THE LORD (search out, strive after, require) while He may be found, call
upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked (those who decline and/or deviate from Him) give
up his way of life and the unrighteous man his thoughts, and let him return to the
Lord."
Paraphrased: Pay attention to Me! You haven’t been eating right, go on a good,
even a crash diet, and SEEK (active pursuit, frequently tread the path)
the Lord.
Let me say a bit here about that "diet". If you’re interested, we have
prepared a "crash diet plan" for you. We call it just that, THE CRASH DIET PLAN
( button). Enclosed
you will find a sheet for consideration, spend at least a week with each one.
Oh, how much the Father has to say about this matter of seeking, both in urging it upon
you and giving such great promise to you.
Is your search as intense as the Psalmist David?
Psalm 84.2 "...my heart and my flesh CRIES OUT for the living God.

my heart within me is desolate. I MEDITATE on all Thy works...I stretch forth my hands
unto Thee. My soul THIRSTS after Thee, as a THIRSTY LAND..."

O God, Thou art my God; early will I SEEK Thee: my soul thirsts for Thee, my flesh LONGS
for Thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is.

One thing have I DESIRED of the Lord, that will I SEEK after...Hear, O Lord, when I call
with my voice; have mercy also upon me, and answer me. When You said, SEEK my face; my
heart said to You, Thy face Lord, will I SEEK. I had fainted unless I had believed to see
the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. WAIT on the Lord..." |
That search, that thirst, that desire is joined with the desire to walk in His
way!

"Blessed are they that KEEP His testimonies, and SEEK Him with the whole heart. With
my whole heart have I SOUGHT Thee, O let me not WANDER from Thy commandments. Open Thou
mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of Thy law. ORDER MY STEPS IN THY
WORD."

| Proverbs 2
(God speaking) "...if you will receive my words and hide my commands with
you...incline your ear to (my) wisdom, apply your heart to understanding...if you cry
after knowledge, and lift up your voice for understanding; if you SEEK her (God and His
wisdom) ...as for hid treasure; THEN you shall understand the fear of the Lord, and find
the KNOWLEDE OF GOD. For the Lord gives wisdom: out of His mouth comes knowledge and
understanding... Turn you at my reproof: behold I will pour out my spirit to you, I will
make known my words to you." |
Such holy activity has Divine assurance of success!
| Psalm 145
"You (God) open your hand and satisfies (such) desire... The Lord is righteous in all
His ways, and holy in all His works. The Lord is near unto all them that call upon Him, To
all that call upon Him IN TRUTH. |
Those last words are crucial, IN TRUTH. According to His will and
purpose, not just every little whim or sore toe that I may have. John wrote: "those
that call according to MY WILL". Do you begin to see the what direction our
search must take, what the content of our praying should be, and the destination that we
want to reach, GOD HIMSELF.

| "I will pour water upon him that is thirsty..."
(Isaiah 44)

| "I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to
me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay
and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. He put a new song in my mouth,
even praise unto my God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord."

| "The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the
whole earth, to show Himself strong in behalf of them whose heart is perfect (upright,
mature) toward Him." (II Chronicles 16)

eternity, whose name is holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of

Now, if you have no such desire, you could pray for such! We are making every
attempt in this site to share with you where to BEGIN your search, the PATH where you
might walk and find GOD’S ANSWER. If THE PATH is a bit fuzzy yet, go back to the
START and sharpen your focus.
God has made it plain enough, the promises broad enough and in clear enough
language for each to grasp, now, like John Bunyan’s Pilgrim in (Pilgrim’s
Progress) set out with a passion toward that goal.
