Well, what do you call all the unix-like OSes like SCO, Free BSD, and all the Linux distributions en masse?
I used to think of it as some phoneme followed by an n, an i, and an x back when we were putting QNX in the kiosks at work. I, who was finally learning to get along in MsDOS on my 386SX at home was beginning to learn how to get around QNX at work instead of logging in & running whatever programs I had permissions to run. I wanted to take QNX at home & play with it, but the cost was prohibitive for me at that time, and I turned down pirated copies from work. When I got a chance to buy Slack 3.4 I was delighted to have a unix like OS to learn more about computing.
