McGrain Glass International is a full-service stained glass studio offering the finest in all types of stained glass art work.  Led by award-winning artist/designer Peter McGrain,  the workshop handles a variety of projects, ranging in scale from small, intimate art pieces to massive, large-scale architectural installations.   As an independent, designer-owned  studio, with fabrication facilities operating in  Washington, New York, and Malaysia, we have the ability to provide our clients with close, personal service and finished work of unmatched quality. Additional aspects  include consultation, preliminary planning and a variety of artist services, including design preparation and presentation, lectures,  and visiting artist workshops.

Peter McGrain has been working with glass for nearly 20 years.  During this time he has handled every kind of stained glass project imaginable.  In all, it has been his attention to composition and technique which has made his imagry so successful.  In 1990 his panel Shrimpers (above) was recognized at the World  Glass Congress as the finest example of stained glass created during the entire decade of the 1980’s.  As principal designer on every project, Peter has the opportunity to work very closely with each client in bringing their commission to light.  He is a contributing writer for both GLASS ART and GLASS CRAFTSMAN magazines and frequently travels offering visiting artist workshops.
