The Dalles Art Museum
Welcome !

We invite you to visit the galleries of The Dalles Art Center, open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 AM to 5 PM

A portion of the Center offers exhibits by guest artists and changes monthly. The other section features the works of about fifty local and regional artists; these works are available for purchase. If you are a local artist, we invite you to submit your work for consideration by a jury panel.

We hold juried competitions for local K-12 grade students in January & February; artists of all ages are eligible for juried competitions in the Spring & Summer.

The Center offers art classes for all ages and in many media throughout the year. Call for details of current classes.

The galleries are open to all, and there is no admission fee. Donations are appreciated; they help to defray operating expenses of the Center.

The Dalles Art Center is housed in a former Carnegie Foundation library built in 1910 and used as the city's public library until 1966. The Dalles Art Association, a private, non-profit, self-sustaining organization now owns, operates and maintains the building. It depends upon membership dues, consignment fees and fund-raisers for its financial health; and a dedicated cadre of volunteers for its day-to-day operation. Consider becoming a volunteer yourself ! Our annual art auction is held in November.
