The Groundwork Training System® grew out of my own frustration with the limitations of clinics and my own training questions. Of course the trainer could get the horse to do things, but I wasn't able to get the same results on my own. Then I learned one central technique that I recognized would compensate for my own lack of reflexes and experience, that made it possible for me to get results on my own. I have since expanded it to encompass an entire way of looking at horse training, a communication technique that makes you your own trainer.
