The Berean Society was incorporated in 1968 to further promote Biblical reformation in our age, to promote and proclaim the WHOLE COUNSEL OF GOD as the absolute authority, the final rule, the Supreme Court of all human action and thinking. To declare the sovereign operation of a thrice holy God IN EVERY AREA OF LIFE.
If God indeed be the God as revealed in the Holy Scriptures, and not as conceived by modern religionists, then it is time we took Him seriously and begin to be "renewed in our minds", thinking His thoughts. Further that we begin to make every attempt to put those thoughts into practice, no matter how feeble it may seem to us. This of course requires an honest appraisal of our present thinking and activity. Our name and our aim are found in Acts 17:11 "These (dwellers at Berea) were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the Scriptures daily, whether those things (which we taught) were so." The primary thrust of every endeavor is to get men and women into the word, and to God, not just into a church. There is so much confusion when it comes to CHURCH, that many folks simply give up. The efforts of The Society through literature, personal studies, and sound recordings is to incite others to set aside the confusion and offer some hope that it is possible that you can know the truth "and the truth shall set you free." We must tell you though, that it is not up to us to determine the MESSAGE we want, or use the METHODS that we decide to choose. God has determined both. As we have stated earlier we must follow the Biblical pattern or model.
The Biblical understanding of the above points, actually provides us with an inspired process in our search. We press these points almost fanatically because a true understanding of them will dispel the religious confusion, they will give us a lifelong model/outline for the future. As opportunity is given us The Society seeks to help individual seekers in their search. Then to aid such as they seek not only to implement the truth but to give to others also. Wherever each one has been placed by the Sovereign Providence of God, it is there that The Society desires to incite, encourage, correct and strengthen. So, where do I BEGIN? How do I continue when once started? How can I know that The Society is not just another part of the present confusion? You can know, IF YOU WANT TO! You will spend the rest of your life on this journey and never exhaust the subject. You can know the true excitement KNOWING, not a mere emotional moment. So, give us a "shout" and get started. You can if you want to! It may sound too simple, but it is possible for YOU TO KNOW!
