OSCA GRANT PROGRAM GUIDELINES

ELIGIBLE: OSCA members who are employed as practicing school counselors (K-12) or supervisors of school counselors (K-12).

DEADLINE: December 1, 1998. No applications will be accepted after that date. Grant recipients will be notified of their grant proposal acceptance no later than January 15, 1998.

FUNDING PERIODS: 1998-99 School Year Funds must be spent by May 30.

AMOUNT OF GRANTS: Four grants of $300.00 each will be awarded. One-half of the funds will be awarded in February, 1999. The remainder will be awarded in April, 1999 contingent upon the receipt of written summary of outcomes to that date.

OUTLINE OF GRANT PROPOSAL:

Please include the following components in your proposal:

1. Statement of need

2. Purpose of the grant

3. Goal of the grant

4. Persons responsible (Contact person, address, phone)

5. Process/Time line

6. Budget for the project - be as specific as possible to include total costs (total budget, amt. requested from OSCA)

7. Evaluation - how will you evaluate project effectiveness

8. Follow up report due no later than June, 1999

A written summary is required to complete grant distribution. Items to be included are: the number of participants, feedback from them, speaker(s) and any other pertinent information. Failure to complete a summary will subject the grant winner to reimburse OSCA for the total amount of the grant award.
