Tree Sales Program
The Underwood Conservation District offers a variety of low-cost tree and shrub seedlings for sale to landonwers in the mid-Columbia region. Our goal is to provide comprehensive assistance in establishing diverse and productive forest stands, shelterbelts, and wildlife habitat. UCD also offers help with planning and enacting stewardship-oriented forest management plans which may be cost-shared and may help to reduce property taxes. Planting
trees will improve the appearance and wildlife potential of your property. It
may also be your best long-range timberland investment strategy.
How to Order: Trees may be ordered beginning in late
fall (November). Order by phone, weekdays
7:30 am to 4:00 pm, or stop by the UCD Office. An invoice will be mailed to
you for payment. Trees
will be available for pickup in the March or April. We will contact you
approximately one week in advance to confirm time, date and place when trees
will be ready. We normally rent a
cooler for 3 to 4 weeks; tree purchasers may keep their trees in the cooler
until they are ready to do the planting.
This keeps the trees dormant and in good shape until planting. Watch
this space for tree price information beginning in the fall. Give us a call if you have general
questions about the tree sales program. Underwood Conservation District
