 The
Columbia Gorge Masters was founded in 2002
in Hood River, Oregon, as an organized swimming
program for adults. The purpose of our organization
is to promote good health, fitness, and friendships
through regular swimming. We are affiliated with
Oregon Masters Swimming (OMS) and United
States Masters swimming (USMS).
We welcome swimmers of all ages from 18 to 100+
regardless of previous organized workout swimming
experiences. Some members have been involved in
youth swimming organizations and others have learned
to swim as adults. Our abilities range from novice
swimmers who are just learning the more difficult
competitive strokes to those who have achieved
USMS National Top Ten.
Our interests range from workout swimmers to competitors
who race in pool meets, open water swims and triathlons.
