This engine has the same Bore and
Stroke as the 500 above, but as you
can see is a vertical Single. I have
shown this at AMCA events, and
currently have a Senior award. It
will be eligible for Winner's Circle
at the next show I take it to. Click

pictures.

1953 R51/3
I found this "Barn Fresh" bike
only about 25 miles from home.
Its the first "Honest" barn fresh
bike I have ever found. It was a
very nice low mile bike which
made for an easy restoration.

process pictures.
1953 Condor A580-1
This is a genuine "Swiss Army
Bike". It is similar to
Zundapp and BMW. It has a
dual range transmission
(giving it 8 speeds forward)
and high water pipes for
fording streams etc.

This is an extremely rare
example of a very early BMW.
It is a 500cc with a small
bore and very long stroke.
It pulls like a tractor, and
zips right up to about 55mph,
even though it was rated at
12 horsepower. I restored
this to Museum quality.
Although it operates
perfectly, it is too nice to
ride much.
