Founding member of the Goldendale Community
Action Team, a new non profit whose focus is

raising awareness and funding for community projects in Goldendale
-
raising funds and resources for community organizations
September 1999 CAT organized a musical event to
raise awareness the weekend before the election for a local tax initiative
to fund the construction of a community swimming pool The event
featured local musicians who donated performances, and raised $1,000 towards
the construction of the pool.
1993-1998
I was a founding member of the Parkway
Residents Association, a non profit organization that I worked on for
several years. I was a member of the Executive Committee in
several capacities including

a year as President

a year as Vice President
-
authored first draft of the Vision Statement, Mission
Statement, Statement of Shared Values, and
5 Year Strategic Plan

Editor of the PRA newsletter virtually the entire period of my involvement
1977 - 1983
I was a member of a non profit organization
REC (Recreation for Everyone Concerned) whose focus was to provide
recreation programs for all citizens of Goldendale with an emphasis on
youth programs.
My duties were:

designing and silk-screening posters for events

planning and helping setup and run events, as well as
and clean up after them.
