Virtues
(a poem for )
a rainbow orb
cushioned scepterless
against clouds
a hooded figure
swept up from grass breakers
serpentine shadow
to my precarious crest
dune south the Cannon
surreal
you and a bird
of indeterminate point-of-view
banked in winds of youth
or a moment yesterday
stolen from couch-common do
for an alien flock
shared discovering
a tree
backyard
prospects still too
not
knew
to
change
so soon
