Our Fund-Raising Has Begun!
Linda Rouches (Cosette's Mom!) has generously volunteered to head our fund-raising/sponsorship efforts and has already collected $500 from such businesses as PBS, Columbia River Bank, Don Nunamaker Realtors, and Thompson Orchards. Way to go! Thanks to these businesses for their help and support. If you would like to help Linda with our sponsorship and advertising drive, give her a call or email me and I will pass along your email.
Tickets Now on Sale!
Tickets for all performances of Les Miserables are now on sale at Waucoma Books. The store has approximately 100 tickets for each show. We will also have multi-pass tickets (for those parents who go to many performances) at a reduced rate, as well as discounts for larger theatre parties. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students and children under 12.
Les Miserables Around the Region
We recently checked with Music Theatre International (Licensor for Les Miserables) into other upcoming performances of the show, so we could share resources and ideas. Besides a community theatre production in the Seattle area (closing this week), other productions include Westview High School (Beaverton) in early Spring, and Longview (WA) Theatre around the same time.
Opening of School Delayed but Les Mis goes on!
Hood River County Schools will open September 9, but Les Mis rehearsals will go on as scheduled Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:15-5:15. Check the Les Miz home page for details.
Any Parents Handy with Tools? How about with a paintbrush?
Any folks who like to do woodworking projects or build simple furniture--we have a job for you! We need to build approximately a dozen simple pine or fir rustic tables and chairs. Want to take this on? Email me! We will also need help painting two large scenic backdrops.
