We have few things that are truly our own. When I create my work, I own it. It gives me solace. I am captured.
I create fabric wall art – quilts. I play with the fabric’s color, texture, scale, and pattern on a design wall in my sewing studio. Each work is put together in layers, and when these elements come together, it becomes its own – a finished piece. The puzzle has been completed; it is time to share.
My current work is geometric, inspired by three-dimensional effects, and is created to engage the viewer and designed to cause lingering conundrums. Can fabric do that?
