Salisbury Steak Dinner

with boiled potatoes and milk gravy


  1. 1/2 lb. ground beef, seasoned with garlic salt and pepper, form into 3/4 inch thick patty
  2. Fry about 7 min each side in teflon coated frypan, med-high heat
  3. optional: add sliced mushrooms and onions for 7 min on second side
  4. Meanwhile: peel, chunk, and boil potatoes for 10 min
  5. When potatoes are done, drain, cover to keep warm
  6. When steak is done, transfer to warm plate and cover
  7. In frypan add 1 TBL flour to grease, stir
  8. Add 1 cup whole milk, stir constantly while it comes to boil and thickens, add salt and pepper to taste
  9. Transfer gravy to covered bowl
  10. Assemble dinner: portion of steak, serving of boiled potato, mash potatoes with fork, spoon gravy on potatoes and steak, serve
