Salisbury Steak Dinner
with boiled potatoes and milk gravy
- 1/2 lb. ground beef, seasoned with garlic salt and pepper,
form into 3/4 inch thick patty
- Fry about 7 min each side in teflon coated frypan, med-high
heat
- optional: add sliced mushrooms and onions for 7 min on second
side
- Meanwhile: peel, chunk, and boil potatoes for 10 min
- When potatoes are done, drain, cover to keep warm
- When steak is done, transfer to warm plate and cover
- In frypan add 1 TBL flour to grease, stir
- Add 1 cup whole milk, stir constantly while it comes to boil
and thickens, add salt and pepper to taste
- Transfer gravy to covered bowl
- Assemble dinner: portion of steak, serving of boiled potato, mash
potatoes with fork, spoon gravy on potatoes and steak, serve
