Broiled Steaks
- Preheat oven to 375 deg. F
- Use thick steaks, trim off fat
- Dry steaks with paper towel, salt and pepper
- Place steaks on roasting pan with rack. Put salt in
bottom of pan to stop the smoke.
- Bake in 375 deg. F oven for 6-8 min
- Remove steaks, let rest under cover for 10 min
- Start broiler, (30 sec to toast a piece of bread)
- Broil steaks, 1-1/2 inches from element, about 3 min per side
- Remove steaks and place a pat of butter on each steak, serve
