About Us

Objectives in support of our mission:

• Provide an on-call search and rescue team.
• Maintain individual state certification through the Washington State Department of Emergency Management (D.E.M.).
• Maintain an aggressive on-going training program.
• Promote safety and education in the outdoor environment.
• Increase membership.
• Develop effective fund raising activities.

Each of our members has volunteered for a wide range of reasons dominate among these are an appreciation of the diversity and potential dangers of the area, and a commitment to our community.

Our volunteers come from Skamania (and neighboring Clark and Klickitat) counties of Washington state. We are certified to conduct missions in both Washington and Oregon.

An Administrative board takes care of the organizational details:

Coordinator of Field Operations: Mike Dunn

Secretary: Todd Warner

Treasurer: John Davis

Training Officer& New Member Liaison: Brad Liedtke

The team conducts business according to our By Laws, as well as an annual Action Plan.

Community education is also an important part of what we do.

Members of our team are available for presentations to area groups and organizations.

Informational/static displays are provided for community events.
