Oregon "Biggs Picture Jasper"
There are 3 operating mines that contain the "Biggs Picture Jasper". They are:
1. The “Fulton Canyon Mine”, owned by Sami Tsubota (rumored to be leased out now). 2. The “Jolly Roger Mine”, operated by Bill Jones (only sells on Ebay). 3. The “Beers Mountain Mine”, owned and operated by Pat Beers (only sells in quantity, through Dealers, Columbia Northwest included) 4. The China Hollow Mines, owned and operated by Don Hilderbrand (represented by: Columbia Northwest and Hinkle's Rock shop)

CHINA HOLLOW MINES
(Formerly known as the Dormeier Biggs Jasper Mine)
The China Hollow Mines are owned by China Hollow Farms and operated by Don Hilderbrand. It is the home of an Agate material known as "Dolphite Agate"
There are also other deposits, from several locations on the property, of:
· Yellow Common Opal (with pattern)
· Biggs Picture Jasper
· Biggs Dendritic Jasper
· Biggs "Lace" Jasper
· Vivid Red Jasper (limited quantities)
· Green Common Opal (limited quantities)
· Butterscotch Jasp-Agate (limited quantities at this time)
All of these materials were used by the early Aboriginal peoples that inhabited the Inland Pacific Northwest and Columbia Basin areas. These materials were exchanged by these peoples with other groups in the Western part of the Continent.
Many of the original and highly collectable "Columbia River Gem Points" are made from these exact materials and are dated back many Centuries.
These materials are of high Lapidary interest, as well. “Rockhounds” have been collecting these and similar materials from this area and purchasing these materials from dealers at Gem and Mineral Shows throughout the Pacific Northwest for many years.
