Job Title: Thermoscience Engineer
Job Description: General Motors Research and Development Center has an open position for a highly motivated and creative analysis engineer interested in conducting cutting-edge research on internal combustion engine systems and other thermofluid devices. The job involves the development and application of advanced thermofluid analysis tools, including computational fluid dynamics, for the development of new engine technologies. Requirements: Ph.D. in Mechanical, Chemical or Aerospace Engineering majoring in the thermoscience disciplines; thorough knowledge of the fundamental processes relevant to engine combustion and performance, e.g., fluid mechanics, turbulence, heat transfer, turbulent combustion, multiphase flows, etc.; detailed knowledge on the application of computational fluid dynamics and related tools to research and develop thermofluid devices.
