Job Title: Senior Experimental Engineer

Job Description: Show a considerable amount of creativity and perception as a problem solver in contributing towards definition of GM common software architecture and verification/test/certification criteria for embedded vehicle control software. Define and analyze software architecture elements relating to security needs for wired and wireless systems including authentication. Contribute to establishment of guidelines and conventions for development of embedded software components.

Requirements: PhD or MS in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or equivalent training. Working knowledge of software system security issues including wired and wireless communications. Working knowledge of distributed embedded system theory and practice and software architecture concepts and practices. Interest in systems engineering and simulation preferred.

Requirements: PhD or MS in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or equivalent training. Working knowledge of modeling tools such as UML, Statemate and Matlab/Simulink. Hands-on experience with electronic simulation and verification. Working knowledge of distributed embedded system theory and practice and software architecture concepts and practices, and willingness to travel required.


Job Title: Senior Experimental Engineer

Job Description: Show a considerable amount of creativity and perception as a problem solver in the development of automotive engine controls. Responsible for concept development, implementation, and evaluation of model-based control and diagnostic algortithms for next generation engine control systems and future engine technology applications. Plan and execute major test programs on complex test situations, from coordinating test objectives with requesting design engineer through designing fixturing and data reduction systems and implementing sophisticated computer-aided measurement systems.

Requirements: PhD or MS in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent training with strong background in control system design methodology, modeling and simulation, control theory, and computer-aided control system design. Research experience in control system design for industrial applications.
