Our Fire District covers 36 square miles with a population of approximately 1200. The fire insurance rating is currently eight. The Lyle Fire Department responds to approximately one-hundred fire and medical calls per year. The department is not only responsible for fire protection, but also has a verified trauma aid vehicle along with trained EMTs' and First Responders to meet the medical needs of our community. In addition to providing fire protection for our community, we are often called upon to support the fighting of wild fires in neighboring districts and in Oregon State.

The needs of our community are very important to our Fire Department and we are always in need of new, excited volunteers with good attitudes to help us meet the community's' fire protection and medical needs. Please feel free to drop by the fire department on one of the above meeting dates.

We had a drill at the Lyle High School and we have pictures!  The pictures are a bit outdated and will be updated to show new members and equipment as soon as possible.
