For a Little About my life NOW Look Here! I've never written a biography, and really how much do you really want to know about someone? So I'll try and keep this short and make it interesting too! (well as interesting as my boring life can be anyway!) I was born in 1960 to Richard Paul & Mary Lou Harris in Hood River, Oregon. My parents had been married for 5 years when I was born. My mother's family was from Michigan and my father's family was from Missouri, they had moved out west shortly after they were married. |
| We lived in alot of different places because
my dad moved from one job to another alot. We lived in Stevenson, Washington, We lived in Corvallis,
Oregon, we stayed there the longest ever! Four whole years!
We've also lived in Vancouver, Washington; Klamath Falls, Oregon; Coos
Bay, Oregon; and North Bend, Oregon.
We moved between those places several times, I had never been to the same school for more than a year, and one year my sister went to four different schools! As I became a teenager, I did as many teenagers do I just had to see for myself just what I was missing. I got involved in an immoral lifestyle, and tried smoking and some drugs. Then when I was 16, I became pregnant with my son, and found out just where my TRUE friends were. All my so called friends disappeared. |

I met a man when I was 18, and we married 4 months later. He later adopted my son giving him his name. About a year later we had a daughter also, Kalina Rae. But the story didn't end there happily ever after. When choosing a marriage mate you should REALLY get to know just what their true values really are. I think at first we shared simular goals and values, but he was just too drawn in by the materialistic interests that are out there. Plus he started forming a relationship with a woman at work and so after 6 1/2 years of marriage he left me and the daughter that we had together. So here I was 25 years old, with two children and NO husband, not knowing what I was going to do! If that wasn't enough of a shock 4 months later I ended up having to have emergency brain surgery. I had a colloid cyst removed from the center of my brain. Having to face death certainly brought things into perspective for me! I'd been feeling rather sorry for myself and was quite depressed, but this just made me realize that I really had alot to appreciate, and wanted to live, if not for me than for my 2 children. So after my surgery I had an improved attitude, at least for awhile! |
| Soon after I met my husband Mike, too soon
after actually as my hair had only grown to about 1/4 of an inch, and I
was still wearing a wig when we met!
You've gotta love a man who can fall in love with you when you're BALD!!!! Anyway, Mike and I were married May 31, 1986 in Carson, Washington. We had a nice honeymoon at Cannon Beach, Oregon (Where else would the Cannon's Go?) We live in Carson, Washington, which is in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. Mike works for an Auto Parts Store, and I work as an Bus Driver/Teacher's Aide at North Bonneville Head Start. Jeffrey and Kalina have since moved out, Kalina is married now to Nick Solum since September 11, 1998, and Jeff is married to Rachel since June 28, 2000. We have two beautiful girls Alisha, and Malia, I hope you enjoyed this biography HUGE as it is.....If
you've made it this far I should have some little reward or something....but
I'll just have to say......wow.....you must have been REALLY bored to read
all this!!!!
